Joining the NSCOA Dance Team were Streetboys members Joey Andres and Danilo Barrios Jr., along with Bimbethchie Navarro of Danz Promo. Their energetic and high-level performance energized the audience and perfectly embodied the event’s theme: “Skilled, Dynamic and Future-Ready.”

Celebrating Excellence in Skills Development
This year’s WorldSkills Philippines NCR 2026 brought together some of the most talented and promising skilled individuals across the National Capital Region. The competition features 35 skills areas that highlight innovation, technical excellence, creativity, and industry-ready competencies across six major sectors:
- Creative Arts and Fashion
- Manufacturing and Engineering Technology
- Information and Communication Technology
- Transportation and Logistics
- Construction and Building Technology
- Social and Personal Services
The opening program was highlighted by inspiring remarks from TESDA NCR Regional Director RD Angelina M. Carreon, CESO III, who emphasized the importance of continuously empowering the youth through skills development, innovation, and excellence. She highlighted how WorldSkills serves as a vital platform for young Filipinos to demonstrate not only their technical expertise but also their discipline, adaptability, and readiness for the future workforce.
TESDA Director General Sec. Kiko B. Benitez delivered the keynote message, reaffirming TESDA’s strong commitment to strengthening technical vocational education and training (TVET) in the country. He stressed the agency’s mission to equip Filipino youth with globally competitive skills, create more opportunities for innovation and employment, and prepare future-ready workers who can thrive both locally and internationally.
The event was further graced with messages of support from the Office of Cong. Bienvenido Abante, Jr. (6th District of Manila) and the Office of Congw. Alexandria “Quennie” P. Gonzales (Lone District of Mandaluyong), both expressing continued support for skills development and the empowerment of Filipino youth.
