Spalding Named Official Ball Partner of the SBG Cup 2026
The National Sports Coaches, Officials and Athletes Service Cooperative (NSCOA) is pleased to announce that Spalding has been named the Official Ball Partner of the SBG Cup Inter-City Basketball Tournament (NCR).
The partnership was formalized during a meeting between NSCOA Vice Chairman Sherwin Yanzy Enriquez and Joven Babaan, Vice President of Proline Sports Center, where both parties discussed Spalding’s support for the tournament and its role in elevating the playing experience for participating teams.
As part of the partnership, the Spalding Tack Soft has been designated as the official tournament ball of the SBG Cup. The ball will be used throughout the competition, establishing a consistent standard for game play across all participating cities and municipalities.

During the visit, Mr. Babaan also toured Mr. Enriquez through Spalding’s product lineup and shared insights on the technologies behind the brand’s basketballs and other sporting products. The visit highlighted not only the quality and range of Spalding equipment, but also the brand’s continued commitment to innovation in sports.
The meeting also included a lighter moment, as Mr. Enriquez had the opportunity to try and take photos with one of Spalding’s novelty products, including a glow-in-the-dark ball, adding a fun and memorable element to the visit.
For NSCOA, the partnership with Spalding reinforces the SBG Cup’s commitment to working with trusted sports brands and providing athletes with quality equipment worthy of a high-level inter-city basketball tournament.

The SBG Cup Inter-City Basketball Tournament (NCR) gathers teams from across the National Capital Region in a multi-city competition organized by NSCOA. With Spalding now officially on board, the tournament continues to build a stronger platform for competitive basketball and community-based sports development.
