NSCOA Meets With CDA Chairperson Usec. Alexander B. Raquepo
Officers of the National Sports Coaches, Officials and Athletes Service Cooperative (NSCOA) met with Cooperative Development Authority Chairperson, Usec. Alexander B. Raquepo, at the CDA Head Office in Quezon City on July 27, 2026.
The NSCOA delegation was joined and supported by NSCOA Chairman Allan Maronilla and NSCOA Vice Chairman Sherwin Yanzy Enriquez, together with Mr. Ronde D. Alicaya, Chief of Staff of Usec. Raquepo, whose presence underscored the strong institutional support for cooperative-driven sports development.
During the meeting, NSCOA presented its key programs and proposals, including:
🏀 The SBG Cup Rising Cities (NCR) Inter-City Basketball Tournament
🏆 Sportsfest programs for CDA personnel and cooperatives nationwide
🎓 TESDA-aligned training and professionalization programs for sports coaches and officials
💼 Livelihood and employment opportunities for sports practitioners
🤝 Endorsements, institutional partnerships, and cooperative-sector support
We are grateful that our proposals were received positively by Usec. Raquepo and the CDA leadership. Their encouraging response affirms the potential of sports cooperatives to create meaningful employment, strengthen communities, promote physical wellness, and contribute to the continuing growth of the Philippine cooperative movement.
